This section of the website provides some basic statistics from the NCSE Special Education Administration System (SEAS) on the numbers of children currently in receipt of NCSE resources, at primary and post primary level, and by type of special educational need.

The Special Education Administration System (SEAS) is a purpose-built computer system designed to provide an efficient and effective special education administration system for use by NCSE staff and management.

It enables SENOs and other NCSE staff to manage and maintain school, pupil, and SENO information, and enables SENOs to process applications for teaching hours, SNA posts, assistive technology and transport.

Statistics produced from the system assist the NCSE to plan and manage the resource allocation function, and they also contribute to the development of NCSE research and our understanding of the range of children receiving resources.
