Research Seminar

NCSE Inaugural Research Seminar

The NCSE conducts, commissions and publishes research to provide an evidence base to support its work and to inform the development of policy advice on special education matters to the Minister for Education and Science. The research will also contribute to improved information on best practice issues for stakeholders in this sector.

The NCSE hosted its first research seminar in the Croke Park Conference Centre on Friday 11th December. This seminar provided an overview of the current NCSE research programme and featured presentations on a selection of key research reports, which will soon to be published on this website.

Presentations were provided on four of the research projects. These presentations and paper abstracts are available here.

Evidence of Best Practice Models and Outcomes in the Education of Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing Children: An International Review. Professor Marc Marschark, PhD, Center for Education Research Partnerships (CERP) and National Technical Institute for the Deaf, New York.
